VIOLINIST
ROBY LAKATOS
Famous Hungarian violinist of Roma origin, descendant of the "King of the Gypsy violinists" Janos Bihari. Renowned for his eclectic and versatile style, his repertoire ranges from jazz to classical music which he mixes, in the same way as Liszt and Brahms, with the Roman and popular Hungarian rhythms. In 2004 he enjoyed great success playing during the "The Genius of the violin", a festival with the London Symphony Orchestra. His style, his vision, his talent for improvisation, his musical curiosity and his skills as a composer make him one of the most intriguing and successful musical talents today.
